Retro sportswear fashion and a connection from the past inject vintage charm to Bally’s latest collection.
For its new spring/summer collection, Bally sought enlightenment from road trip photos taken in the ’70s and ’80s, when luxurious sportswear seemed to have cast its magical spell. The journey starts with the pictures of everyday American life taken by two famous photographers, Joel Sternfeld and Stephen Shore, who traveled to various places in California. The sepia tones stirring up the nostalgic atmosphere were then blended with bright colors. At the same time, Bally adds the urban characteristics of Schönenwerd in Switzerland, its birthplace, to create this contemporary collection, and delves into the brands’ archives since 1851 to get ideas for its well-known products such as leather goods and sneakers.
